Unlike other systems, the decentralized MOBOTIX concept incorporates a high-speed computer and, if necessary, a digital memory (SD card) for long-term recording in every camera.
The PC is now used only for viewing, not for analysis or recording. As a result, MOBOTIX cameras can record events even without a running PC and digitally record videos with sound for archiving purposes.
Security and Surveillance needs
In some security and surveillance applications there is the necessity to record video clips without any interruptions for many days continuously. This means that these data files have to been recorded and managed; they also have to be available to be reviewed, analysed and copied on different media devices. This white paper explains how to access and setup the Mobotix web browser directly from the Wavestore Camera Setup screen.
Configuring the Mobotix camera:
1. Go to the Camera Setup page and the specific camera, and select the Setup button. This will display the IP Camera Setting.
2. Select the Camera Setup Page to open the camera configuration web page
3. Go to the Setup menu and open the "Event Control | Messaging" page
4. Set "IP Notify" to "SimpleNotify"
5. Go to the Admin menu
6. Open the "IP Notify Profiles" page
7. Scroll down to the "SimpleNotify" profile
8. Make the settings as per this table:
Configuring the motion detection in Wavestore:
The Wavestore system is very easy to configure.
Just go to Camera Setup, go to the relevant camera (i.e. 19 in the example above) and tick the "Record on motion" box in the Prime section panel. Then save the changes.
