Largest Ever edition of MIPS welcomes new exhibitors

The largest ever edition of MIPS (Moscow International Exhibition for Systems and Technologies of Protection, Security and Fire Safety) is taking on more exhibition space this year, to meet the demand from international companies to present their products and technologies to the Russian market. The exhibition takes place on 24th -27th April 2012, at the Expocentre, in Moscow and is now in its 18th annual edition.

The Russian security market represents a wealth of opportunity for international companies, and 82% of the exhibition space has already been sold. For the security industry, MIPS is a firm fixture in the calendar for Russian buyers to source the latest innovations and technologies from international suppliers. As Russia is hosting 2 prestigious sporting events, the Winter Olympics in 2014 and the World Cup in 2018, security has become an increasingly important issue to ensure that the events run smoothly.

Exhibitors to this year’s show include: FLIR Commercial Systems BV, Fujifilm, ADT Security Solutions/TYCO Security, Abloy Oy, ASSA ABLOY,  SONY, Bosch Security, HONEYWELL, SCHRACK SECONET, VIDAU SYSTEMS, HIKVISION, Dahua, Milestone Systems, Southwest Microwave, Paradox, Mavili, Morpho Detection, NEDAP, Panasonic, Samsung Techwin, CBC, System Sensor, Geutebrueck, and many others.

This year’s show will include two new sectors to the exhibition situated in Pavilion 8, Hall2, Industrial and Personal Safety (Health & Safety) and Emergency & Rescue, which will enable companies from this industry to showcase their products and services that aim to improve workplace safety for employees and provide solutions for dealing with the challenges caused by nature and human error. Exhibitors will have the prime opportunity to learn about the Russian security market and secure new business leads.

CARDEX, the specialised sector of MIPS that is dedicated to the implementation of plastic and smart cards, information and banking  security and access control systems, will take place again in 2012.  The business programme that runs alongside the exhibition will compliment this sector, as well as address the issues of information protection and the latest challenges in combating online fraud.

Ilya Sobolev, Event Manager, ITE Group comments, “As the Russian economy and security industry goes from strength to strength, the growth of MIPS reflects these industry trends. The 18th edition of the exhibition is set to attract record visitors to the 4 day exhibition, and is an unmissable exhibition for security professionals. We look forward to welcoming the new exhibitors and hope they have a productive and successful exhibition”.
